Dr. Konstantinos Katsonis, Director

Email: katsonis.dedalos@gmail.com

Docteur ès sciences, University of Paris-sud, 1976.

Previously worked with the CEA-Euratom Association, CEN Fontenay-aux-Roses, with IAEA Atomic & Molecular Data Unit (Vienna, Austria) and subsequently with the GAPHYOR Atomic Data Center in LPGP Laboratory (Orsay, France).

Specialist in atomic physics, atomic data calculations and evaluations, plasma diagnostics and modeling.

Participated to:

"HPH.com" Project of the EC on argon fed Helicon thruster.

"Helicon Plasma Thruster for Space Missions", ESA Project AO/1-7048/12/NL/CO.

Dr. Konstantinos Katsonis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he got his first degree in Physics from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. Subsequently, he was named Fellow of the Greek Research Foundation and Assistant with the Astronomical Laboratory of the same University up to 1970, working on the properties of classical dynamical systems of astrophysical interest. From 1970 up to 1976 was Engineer with the Fontenay-aux-Roses Fusion Laboratory of the CEA. He got a Doctorat d’Etat degree in 1976 on the development of Collisional-Radiative (C-R) Argon models. In 1977 he was appointed Physicist with the IAEA in Vienna, where he directed a coordinated research program for evaluation of atomic data of fusion interest and edited the International Bulletin of A+M Data for Fusion up to 1984. From 1985 he was Research Engineer with the CNRS in the LPGP laboratory of the University of Paris XI (Orsay Campus), leader of the Atomic and Molecular Data for Diagnostics and Modeling group and Director of the GAPHYOR Atomic Data Center.

From 2011 is Director at DEDALOS start-up in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Scientific interests of Dr. Katsonis include chaotic dynamics, CTMC study of A+M processes, global and Collisional-Radiative (C-R) modeling of plasmas and plasma diagnostics.

He likes to deal with hardware and software PC features and was professional alto player, mainly with the Symphonic Orchestra of Thessaloniki.

Dr. Chloe Berenguer, Project Manager

Email: berenguer.dedalos@gmail.com

PhD in plasma physics, University of Paris-sud, 2009.

Specialist in atomic data calculations and evaluations and plasma modeling and diagnostics.

Dr. Chloe Berenguer was born in Marseille, France, where she got her Licence in General Physics from the University of Aix-Marseille I. She studied for one year in the University of Warwick, UK, in the frame of an Erasmus program and got her Master 1 in Fundamental Physics in 2005. After being ‘summer student’ at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland, she was accepted in Paris XI Science Faculty at Orsay where she got her Master 2 in Plasma Physics in 2006. In 2009, she obtained a PhD on Optical Diagnostics of High Energy Density Plasmas at the GAPHYOR Atomic Data Center, LPGP Laboratory of the same University.

Dr. Berenguer worked subsequently as researcher in:

1)   "HPH.com" project of the European Community on argon fed Helicon thruster, with Paris XI University.

2)   "Helicon Plasma Thruster for Space Missions", ESA project AO/1-7048/12/NL/CO, with DEDALOS Ltd, based in Thessaloniki, Greece.

She is now Project Manager at DEDALOS Ltd. and works on plasma modeling and diagnostics and space propulsion.
