Due to the use of large databases corresponding to the atoms, molecules and their ions present in the thruster plasma in various functioning conditions, Detailed Global Models are able to diagnose the plasma obtained in the thruster by Optical Emission Spectroscopy at the same time with its modeling. Then, DEDALOS Ltd can provide a straightforward experimental verification of the results of the DGM modeling.
Sputtered products depending on the materials present in the thruster (e.g. from walls, grid etc), then we developed a systematic OES diagnostics in order to diagnose the sputtered neutrals and ions present in the thruster plasma, in various pressure and absorbed power conditions. Once experimental acquisition of the sputtered products is obtained, we can include them in a DGM, together with the main propellant constituents.
